The Project
See Chicago Dance’s annual gala celebrates the Chicago dance community and honors the dedication of leaders who have devoted their lives to dance and the dance community. See Chicago Dance was celebrating it’s 20th anniversary and needed branding with excitement, legacy, and a modern presentation.
Solution
The project consisted of two main components. The first part involved designing a printed invitation and envelope, an email graphic, a custom background for a landing page, and an event page header. Collaborating with key staff and leadership these graphics were used to expand the branding for additional print and digital materials and enhanced the overall aesthetics before moving on to the second part of the project.
The second task involved editing two tribute videos, one for the 2025 Legacy Awardee, Kevin Iega Jeff, and another for the 2025 Distinguished Service to the Dance Field Award recipient, Julie Nakagawa. I was given creative freedom in editing the provided videos and photos but communication remained open throughout the process to ensure the awardees were honored in a way that reflected the grand atmosphere of the Gala.
